Data Security, Privacy and Backup

TII, as a subsidiary of UNOS leverages the expertise and follows UNOS policies in regard to data security, privacy and backup.

UNOS has implemented extensive enterprise-wide security measures that include technical, personnel, administrative, environmental, and telecommunications safeguards. UNOS operates a fully certified and accredited security system that is continuously audited by HRSA, HHS Inspector General, and third-party contractors. UNOS reached certification and accreditation over ten years ago and has met the requirement annually since that point.

TII understands that the purpose of data security is to achieve uninterrupted availability and operations of the solutions we develop and to prevent system access by unauthorized users. TII is committed to preserving trust in the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our client’s data and systems through the use of managerial, technical, and operational security and privacy controls that are designed based on the project’s requirements. Throughout the project lifecycles, TII follow specific performance improvement strategies for increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of security practices.

If required, TII can monitor emerging threats and vulnerabilities using physical and automated tools, audits performed by internal and external personnel with the goal to have zero security incidents and minimal interruption to service. Future improvements to security are based on a process-driven analysis of emerging security threats and vulnerabilities, realistic assessment of the risk, implementation of controls to mitigate the risk, and regular testing of the controls to assure proper operation. TII will continue to stay current or ahead of the threat potential and actively work with new technologies and methods to mitigate threats.
