Health Outcomes Research

Outcomes research seeks to understand the end results of particular health care practices and interventions. In particular, for individuals with chronic conditions—where a cure is not always possible—end results include quality of life as well as mortality. By linking the care people get to the outcomes they experience, outcomes research has become a key strategy to developing better ways to monitor and improve the quality of care.

TII provides expertise for a broad range of health outcomes studies and examine the clinical, economic and quality-of-life outcomes of pharmacotherapy and medical device technologies. Health outcomes research expands upon the FDA-mandated efficacy and safety endpoints to provide a broader perspective of the outcomes experienced by a patient and helps to identify and clarify unmet clinical needs, assess burden of illness and evaluate patient preference and/or compliance, while supporting promotional and labeling claims.
